Yamada Tsuyoshi is a middle class otaku (Japanese geek) who one day defends Aoyama Saori from a drunkard on the train.
Yamada manages to finally reach Saori, inviting her to dinner. Following the advice from 2channel users, Yamada changes his appearance to impress Saori.
Yamada feels the first date was a disaster; Saori calls and asks if he would like to meet up again. This time, however, Saori brings a friend along.
After Saori mistakes "surfing the web" for surfing, Yamada has to quickly learn how to surf to impress her.
A mysterious stalker starts harassing Saori. Yamada investigates to find out who the stalker is.
